Why do you sell this information?

We have taught people in the past for free. But We have found that creates a problem in that they have not earned the right to be a trader through hard work.

They invariably simply do not continue when the going gets a little tough as it does with trading.

Rich Dennis and Bill Eckhardt knew this and as a member of the original Turtle program Russell Sands had to pay his dues and trade Richard Dennis's money for a set period after the teaching phase.

The golden rule of finance is to have 3 different sources of income. This is one of ours.

We provide a free Turtle Lesson it can be obtained by clicking here.

Who is turtletrader?

We get asked this so many times its on our FAQ.

You asked>> Also would you know who owns and operates turtletrader.con and
what their experience is in the turtle trading method.

Answer>> The mysterious person behind that website was called first called "Gerry".
The only Gerry in the Turtle program was Gerry Parker with whom I (Russell Sands an original Turtle Program graduate) set up Chesapeake Capital with (The Biggest Turtle Fund there is).

Gerry Parker is definitely not involved with  that website.

Now we find that "Gerry"" now calls himself Mike Covell. Confused? so are we!

That website appeared in 1996 a full 4 years after I started  my seminars. They were not original turtles they are copycats
and are not genuine. They are however very good at selling stuff
and imitating.

If you are interested to see how real they were asking the following questions:

1. Were you employed by Richard Dennis?
2. Which Turtle Intake were you in?
3. Have you ever managed Richard Dennis' money in the futures market?
4. Are you a Registered CTA?

Russell Sands can answer yes on all 4 counts. Can the others?

Here is a typical question we get from turtletrader.con customers:

Your inquiry regarding: Neophyte Turtle

I just started with the original Turtle course from their TurtleTrader.con website.
I have a lot of questions concerning the material in the course; some of the responses

to my questions have been unsatisfactory, vague, even rude.
I need more than this to understand fully what is going on. Already spent $999 on
the course and studying diligently. Could you help further with this?

Our Response:

We are sorry to hear that but are not surprised as that seems to be the way they have done business since they copied what Russell Sands was doing. The reason for the rudeness is because they don't know what they are talking about and have never traded the method.

We used to answer questions for their students out of sympathy and it got so much that sometimes it felt like TurtleTrader.con would refer any hard questions to us! Now we simply offer a rebate of US$1,000 for purchasers of their course (YOU MUST SEND ALL THEIR MATERIALS) off the price of our Video, DVD or Live Seminar.

Be aware that our courses come with daily emails of positions and Orders and question and answers almost 24 hours around the clock.

May I ask why would you chose them instead of with an Original Turtle who is a CTA and traded the method for over 18 years and will meet his students face to face?

What is the Difference between the Turtle Secrets Book & Video & the Turtle SuperTrader Program or Seminar?

The Turtles were taught comprehensive approach to trading markets with a Checklist for Trade Entries and Exits. This was called the Concepts which allowed traders to use their own judgment ie discretion in Trading.

Some of the Turtles preferred trading this way and some did not . So for those who wanted to mechanically followed a system with easy to follow rules they created two Trading Systems: System 1 and System 2.

The bulk of what you need to trade the System is in the Turtle Secrets Book and Video.
The system is the hard and fast rules and is good for beginners to grasp. You receive 15 minutes telephone consultation with Russell Sands.

Because we know you value your money we believe the best way is to get all of the information learn all of the methods before you risk your money. Look at the materials you will receive. Our Course fee is only a small Stop Loss trade in the S&P. The course fee can be made 10 times over in just one good Coffee trade.

So we think having all the material that you see here:

  • will help you be a better trader

  • Save you money by not taking yet another horrible big losing trade - thats why Russell has been trading for so long he controls his risk so his losers are kept low.

  • And this does not include mentoring

The Mentoring Home Study DVD or Video Seminar & Live Seminar takes you to the Discretionary trader level and is more appropriate for CTAs and professional Money Managers teaches you the finer points and teaches you the Turtle Concepts
Which you should choose depends on your level of experience in trading and your personality.

If you like to follow simple easy to understand rules the Secrets Book & Video is a great
place to get the basics.

BUT.. If you want to really go for the highest level then the Turtle Trading Concepts gives you everything Russell Sands was taught in the Turtle program plus ongoing support and e-Hotline.

Special Offer to you

Q. Who are  famous Traders  who still use their methods.  Secota?  I understand that you need to invest long term for these methods to work.  Intraday trading them is not possible...."
I am not sure where you get this information and because it needs correcting and we want you to have the best I will point you in the right direction:
  1. Ed Seykota is not a Turtle - never was in the First Program with Mr Sands or in the second Program - Seykota is a Trend Follower but because he lacked the necessary rounding and fail safes the Turtles method gives you ED has had a rougher time trading with much bigger draw downs than Rich Dennis in 1999/2000 when Richard Dennis decided to close his fund after a 39% draw down. Rich had made between 1994 and and when the fund closed an average annual return of 36% even...after deducting for his 20% management fees. That is a very good return better than many many other traders.
  2. Chesapeake Capital Jerry Parker is probably the biggest and most famous Turtle Trader. Jerry Parker and Mr Russell Sands were Partners in Chesapeake Capital when the Turtle Program ended.
  3. There are plenty of Turtles like Stig Osgard Mike Carr, Bill Eckhardt & Russell Sands who still trade. Russell Sands Trades his own Turtle signals and has done so for nearly 23 years.
  4. Russell Sands has been interviewed in Stocks and Commodities and spoken to numerous futures and trading conferences around the world - he is very famous in the inner world of traders. He lives a fairly quiet life now traveling and trading at the same time.
  5. Russell Sands trades the Turtles Method every day the same way as he did 20 plus years ago in the Turtle Program. He teaches his students the same method.
  6. The Turtle method is generally thought of as a Long Term method - but if you are trading a Market with big intra day ranges like the E_Mini, Dax, FTSE and currencies the Turtles method is very relevant.
